Dr. Jamie Guerrero, PhD, CP

Primary Therapist

Dr. Guerrero earned his PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Kentucky; his dissertation focused upon risk and protective factors that predict substance abuse among Hispanic adolescent subgroups. During his two-year post-doctoral internship at the renowned Lukens Institute, he worked with clients suffering from all forms of addiction.

Also a certified psycho-dramatist (CP), Dr. Guerrero has employed psychodrama in non-clinical, as well as clinical settings, including discouraging bullying among young children and adolescents, examining gender role stereotypes and date rape prevention strategies with college students, training master’s level therapists, and helping major brand companies understand consumer’s emotional connections to products.
