In light of social distancing measures and shelter-in-place orders, we have expanded our telehealth services. Beachside Rehab is now offering enhanced virtual individual and group therapy to existing, previous, and new clients. Primary Therapist

A licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), Michal earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology and certificate of advanced studies in psychotherapy from Ghent University in Belgium. Her additional studies include time and stress management, hypnotherapy, orthotherapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). She is also a certified compassion fatigue specialist (CCFP).

Michal’s diverse experience and expertise include family therapy with a specialty in grief counseling, solution-focused counseling, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, relaxation, and sports counseling. Multilingual (English, Dutch, German, and French), Michal has assisted clients in general hospital, psychiatric hospital, and private practice settings in both Belgium and the United States. Prior to joining Beachside Rehab, she worked with children and adolescents, and with adults, including those seeking help for drug and alcohol addiction.
