Beachside Rehab is a Joint Commission Gold Seal-accredited residential treatment center in West Palm Beach, Florida, offering inpatient treatment for adults with clinical depression, major depressive disorder (MDD), persistent depressive disorder, treatment-resistant depression, and seasonal affective disorder. Our program is designed for individuals whose depression has not responded to outpatient therapy or medication management alone and who require the structure, safety, and clinical intensity of 24/7 residential care.
Evidence-Based Depression Treatment
Each client receives a minimum of three individual therapy sessions per week, including sessions with our psychiatric team — led by a board-certified psychiatrist serving as Medical Director and supported by psychiatric nurse practitioners providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management seven days a week. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR for trauma-related depression, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation. Our therapists are certified in EMDR and trained in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), addressing the neurological and relational roots of depression — not just the symptoms.
A Healing Environment Purpose-Built for Recovery
Residential treatment takes place on our private, secure five-acre campus in West Palm Beach, where every client receives a private room. The clinical program is supported by five hours of daily group therapy — including breakout groups for grief and loss, self-harm, and abuse — along with holistic therapies such as equine therapy, yoga, acupuncture, biosound therapy, guided meditation, and chef-prepared meals. Our purpose-built facility was designed from the ground up for clinical care, not converted from a residential home.
Signs It May Be Time for Inpatient Depression Treatment
Residential care may be appropriate when depression symptoms — including persistent sadness, hopelessness, inability to concentrate, sleep disruption, withdrawal from activities, or thoughts of self-harm — have not improved with outpatient therapy, are interfering with daily functioning, or are accompanied by a co-occurring condition such as substance use or trauma.
